MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The Latin pop mainstream has been affected by his international popularity. Una Lady Como Tu from 2016 received a Colombian Kids Choice Award as Favorite Song for the year 2017. The album he released as his debut ADN was issued through La Industria Inc., a Medellin-based Sony distribution firm. This album peaked at eighteen in the Top Latin Albums charts. Following that year, he joined forces with Ozuna to record Vaina Loca which climbed to the top of five on the Top Latin Albums chart. He was a part of the team alongside Noriel for Mala Influencia in the year 2020. He in the year following, he came out with his second album, the charting Dopamina. In 2021, he sang a duet for TINI's hit track Maldita Foto. In 2023, he appeared on 2000, featuring the huge hit La Bachata. Turizo was raised in an musical family. His elder brother and mom are both musicians. In interviews, he described the importance of music as a requirement. While a youngster, he played the ukulele guitar and the piano. At first, he wanted to become Veterinarian, however after his brother Julian was convinced to let him attend lessons in singing with a Cuban musician, he rearranged his goals for his future career.
