Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri dixit is a popular Indian actress best known for the films Beta Saajan and Hum Aapke Hai Koun, and Beta Saajan. The actress began her career as a performer in the late 1980s. The actress became popular for Tezaab, a film starring an established actor Anil Kooor. In the next film, Dil, Aamir Khan appeared with her. Born into a middle-class family in Mumbai she began learning to dancing at a young age. In her early years, when she first started to act as a child actor, the majority of films that she made were not successful. She eventually became one of the most famous actresses in Indian films. The actress took a hiatus from her profession after her wedding before returning to the industry of entertainment. More recently she played in a crucial part in the movie Gulaab Gang which was about the struggles of women in India. Dixit was nominated for 15 Filmfare Awards, out of which she was awarded eight. Padma Shri was awarded to her, which is India's fourth highest civil honor. Also, she has earned a name for social activism.
